Bobby Morrow

Three-time Olympic Gold Medalist

 

and 1954 graduate of San Benito High School

 

Before going to college at Abilene Christian College, Bobby Morrow was state champion in the 100-yard dash for San Benito High School in 1954. He was the only member of the track team to make it to the state finals. In college, Morrow won about 80 sprint championsips. At the Olympics, he won his gold medals in the 100-meter dash, 200-meter dash, and 400-meter relay. He anchored the relay team, which broke the Olympic record.
