In regard for his adopted home of San Benito, George B. Falligant bequeathed from his estate:

to San Benito High School...

Annual medals and cash rewards to one male and one female graduate

The will of Mr. Falligant provided that $2,000 be set aside in a trust fund for the San Benito High School and that the interest accrued from this trust fund be used to make two awards annually, one to the senior boy and one to the senior girl in the graduating class who are the outstanding members of the class. The will stated that these selections are to be basedupon general good health and mental efficiency. In accordance with Mr. Falligant's request, the award consists of a bronze medal with the name of the winner engraved apon it. Approximately thirty-five dollars are received annually from this trust fund, and the amount remaining after the medals are bought is divided equally between the two winners.
