Living The "Tempacuas" Life

These Indians originated from a larger Indian group called coahuiltecos, but even these local Indians were sub-divided into more distinct sub-groups with different names such as Tempacuas, which lived in Eastern Cameron County, and others such as Nahuatlas, and Contonames, which lived along the lower Rio Grande River on the North side of the River, or more exact, fromthe mouth of the River to just North of Brownsville.
